Edo Period Japanese Matchlock Musket Circa 1750.
Octagonal iron barrel decorated with silver and brass inlay with the figure of Shoki the Demon Dweller with his sword. Finely formed cannon muzzle. Barrel has long signature on bottom (as of yet untranslated).
Stock with numerous brass and silver inlays (missing one on the butt). Missing trigger.
A fine matchlock, much better than normally encountered in beautiful untouched condition.
