A Very Rare Norwegian Army Model Of 1840 Military Percussion Pistol Crown K Proof Dated 1845.
10 and 1/4 inch round barrel. .60 caliber. Military style back action lock well proofed and numbered. The lock with faded casehardening and is extremely crisp. The barrel bearing numerous proof marks and showing much original lacquer brown much like the brown on a minty Jenks carbine or Hall flintlock musket. Plain brass military furniture in fine condition.
Stained birch fullstiock in good condition with expertly repaired crack at wrist. Action is fine on full and half cock and bore rates excellent. Only the second one of these we have seen in ten years and this one is in better condition with much original finish.
A very scarce mid 19th century military pistol for the aficionado of European military arms.
