A Very Fine Colt 4 And 1/2 Inch Octagonal Barrel Pocket Navy Conversion Revolver Serial Number 18135 For 1875.
4 and 1.2 inch barrel. .38 rimfire caliber. Approximately 10,000 of these revolvers were made by Colt and 80% were rimfire. Serial 18135 is in excellent condition throughout. The barrel retains 95% bright original bluing with only minor edge wear. The cylinder is in equally fine condition with original serial number 4610 and matching serial number at time of conversion 8135. Great cylinder scene.
The frame with 95% original casecolors and some real brilliance. Hammer with much care color and minor loss on left from cocking. Silver has drifted off backstrap and triggerguard common with these conversions. Lovely walnut grip with 98% original varnish and a few negligible marks. Wedge numbered 8157 all other numbers match.
The action is excellent and the bore is brilliant. This Colt is good enough to case if you could find one.
