A Really Lovely Cased Factory Or New York Engraved Smith & Wesson First Model Third Issue .22 Revolver Serial Number 110155 With Splendid Original Pearl Grips.
3 inch barrel, .22 caliber. The barrel with engraving at muzzle and breech. Barrel address is exceptionally crisp, your guarantee that the finish is original. Fluted cylinder delicately engraved with blossoms between the flutes. The frame finely engraved with scrolling foliage within slashed border. Hammer with darkened casecolors. Exceptionally attractive perfectly fitting pearl grips with really striking “fire”. This third issue retains 97% original bright nickel and most would call it mint. Action is excellent and bore is good.
Cased in an original figured walnut case with brass lid escutcheon and wine red lining. Case retains its original cartridge block for 26 cartridges. This is an exceptionally attractive S&W in exemplary condition with an original case.
It would be difficulty to improve on this one. For the advanced collector or lover of engraved Western expansion revolvers.
