Model 1853 LeFaucheux 12mm Pinfire Revolver; SN 36617
This Civil War era revolver was one of approximately 12,400 imported from Europe. In generally good untouched condition it has an even brown patina and virtually no pitting.
The screw heads are all in very good - some in untouched - condition.
The wood shows very minor shrinkage and a small piece missing (See Pictures). The original varnich is starting to craze.
Overall a very nice, very original revolver used by both sides during the bloody U.S. Civil War.
