An Almost New In Its Original Picture Box Hopkins And Allen X. L, Revolver, No. 4 Nickel Finish. 2 and 1/2 barrel. 38-100 rimfire caliber.
This lovely example retains 99% of its original bright nickel finish. Beautiful rosewood grips show 85% original bright varnish. Hammer with darkened blue finish. Action functions like a new revolver. Excellent bore.
As fine as this revolver is, the really rare feature is its original picture box showing the revolver. This extremely uncommon label has expected age spotting but remains clear. Corners of the box with wear but are intact with one split. Original Colt picture boxes are worth thousands by themselves. First H&A one we have seen with a lovely revolver inside.
